Decent Patterns is a commons project that helps create tooling and resources by the community, for the community. We actively invite your participation in sharing your specific problems and challenges, as well as offering possible solutions for specific topics.

Open Source Design Patterns

Our design patterns live in a GitHub repository where you can propose a new pattern or improve an existing one. You don’t need to be a developer to take part.

  • Have an idea? Open an issue describing the problem, the solution, and any examples you’ve seen.
  • Ready to write one? Follow the contributing guide: copy the pattern template, fill in the sections, and open a pull request.

Governance

Our core values are mutual respect, curiosity, human-centric approaches, and inclusion.

Decent Patterns is maintained by volunteers. The Maintainers hold decision-making power and set community policy, taking reasonable account of input from contributors. Participation is open to anyone; we follow the Berlin Code of Conduct. All design assets created are licensed under CC0 unless otherwise specified. All code created is open source.
